Padauk & Walnut
This handcrafted urn is made from a striking combination of hardwoods: walnut from North America and Europe, and padauk from Africa. Both are known for their durability and natural beauty, with colors that deepen over time.
The body and center of the top are crafted from walnut, while the top and base trim, as well as the inlaid cross, are made of vibrant padauk. The base center is constructed from maple plywood for added strength and stability.

More Details
Unique design elements include 45-degree mitered corners on the body, adding an elegant touch, and a book-matched walnut panel on the top center—created by resawing and joining a single piece of wood to form a mirrored grain pattern. The bottom is secured with four Phillips-head screws. As each urn is individually crafted, both the base and body are marked “front” to ensure proper alignment when reassembled. The base must be removed to place the cremains inside.
Dimensions: 11 ½” x 11 ½” x 6 3/8”, the urn offers an interior space of 8 ½” x 8 ½” x 5 1/8”.
Finish: It is finished with Danish Oil to enhance and protect the wood’s natural grain and luster.
The color and grain of wood varies from board to board, so each urn will be unique.
Please note: Padauk wood naturally darkens over time, ranging from a rich reddish-brown to a soft grayish-brown, depending on its original tone.
